Peter Dourlein, AIA, LEED AP is the Associate Vice President for Planning, Design & Construction and University Architect for the University of Arizona. He is past president of the American Institute of Architects, SA, on the board of directors for the Metropolitan Pima Alliance, and serves in numerous design and construction industry organizations and associations. He is an accredited professional with the US Green Building Council�s Leadership in Energy and Environmental design certification program.
Planning, Design & Construction (PDC) is a team of professionals, among the very top in our industries, that provides coordinated University leadership and guidance for campus real estate, spatial services/GIS, planning, design and construction efforts. The department's goal is to shape the future of the University, and to proactively meet and exceed the physical campus needs of the University's mission today and in perpetuity; to plan, create, and protect a campus environment that improves productivity, inspires learning, and urges exploration; to create spaces and facilities that are not only functional but lead and inspire; to actively and strategically collaborate and contribute to this world-class university and the enriching experiences it provides.
Dedicated members of this office provide collaborative departmental leadership, physical planning of the campus, reporting services for the Arizona Board of Regents, and project information sharing with the community.
