The Assistant VP provides coordinated University and department leadership and guidance for campus real estate, space, planning, design and construction efforts. Our goal is to proactively meet and exceed the physical campus needs of the University's mission; to provide buildings, spaces and facilities that are not only functional but lead and inspire; to actively and strategically collaborate and contribute to this world-class university and the enriching experiences it provides.
Members of this office also provide reporting services for the Arizona Board of Regents, project information sharing with the community, and essential resources for the department and the Business Affairs division.

Our professionally licensed staff are responsible for budgeting, scheduling, design and construction integrity,contract compliance, and ensuring that the University receives the highest quality facilities on time and in budget. We lead University stakeholders, departments, design consultants, and contractors throughout the entire design and construction processes. We work to support high quality education and research and to enhance the experience of all who interact with the University of Arizona.
Our nationally certified inspectors review project documentation and perform inspections throughout project construction to ensure safety, quality of work and compliance with requirements.
We are dedicated to the efficient management of the University's real property portfolio in support of the institution's mission. Our staff facilitates professional property management, leasing, acquisitions and disposition. We provide coordinated guidance for the relocation of University units with emphasis on people and impact mitigation.

Our professionally licensed planning and landscape design staff guide the overall campus physical development and stewardship at the University of Arizona including long-range, pre-project and open space planning, and historic preservation. Utilizing a comprehensive perspective we consider how various planning efforts fit together to sustain the University's near-term and long-term growth and development.
We also help coordinate Public-Private Partnership (PPP) opportunities that provide the University alternative means of delivery of facilities or resources.
Our staff is responsible for PDC's information systems and also for providing spatial data services for UA Business Affairs and The University of Arizona. These include financial and document management systems which support PDC Project Management, as well as Space Management and Geographic Information Services (GIS) that serve the entire campus.

Our Facilities Project Managers provide professional project management and leadership during the construction phase and manage overall project budget and schedule. We provide professional guidance to campus groups and stakeholders with their building needs as we assist them in navigating the technical and regulated design and construction processes with exceptional customer service.
We coordinate projects with campus users and on-going campus programs and activities. In the final phases of project delivery, we orchestrate the occupancy and turnover of new and remodeled spaces and administrate the warranty phase of completed projects.
Our staff administer the department and project budgets. We oversee the financial business of the department including payroll, cost accounting, rate structures, budget analysis, forecasting and business audits.
As an integral part of the Real Estate unit, we provide professional services to manage the University's real estate agreements in property acquisition, disposition, leasing and related agreements.
Our team collects, analyzes, reports and disseminates space data for the management of the University's physical space. In addition, we maintain floorplans, occupancy and utilization for all University spaces.
We develop and manage the Enterprise Geographic Information System (EGIS) and related applications. This suite of services an applications serves PDC, UA Business Affairs and The University of Arizona.
